A Friendly Letter To John McCain

Senator John McCain recently sent me a letter asking for campaign donations. The letter read well, I'm sure he didn't personally write it, but rather oversaw its creation. In this letter, the senior senator from my home state of Arizona took the opportunity to bad-mouth a former congressman, J.D. Hayworth. J.D. has not yet formally announced his candidacy, but everyone expects him to, and I'm sure he will.

So, McCain sends me an email, that I'm sure he wants me to read, be inspired by, and then click 'contribute' at the bottom and send my 20 bucks. However, after reading it, I decided to contribute not money, but rather direction. He is still my senator after all, and being that he works for me, I asked him to do something.....resign.

Here is what I sent.

LOL im so voting for J.D. Hayworth.
YOU sir have had your chance. You typically vote center-left, while J.D. votes center-right, inline with our country.

You were weak in the Presidential run-off, not going after Obama's inner-circle; and you were silent while your campaign staff attacked and bad-mouthed Sarah Palin. Shame on you for letting that happen and not speaking out about and against it. I'll bet you are still using the same campaign staff. What a pity.

You sir have had too long a time in the Senate. You have forgotten that you work for the people. The little people, your so-called 'friends' are seemingly the people with money. I want you out of office. YOU are "politics-as-usual". YOU are the "old-boys-network". YOU are not going to make changes to the way things get done in Washington.

Thank you for your service sir, now kindly leave your seat. You have lost focus on what is important. The sovereignty of the United States, moreover, the State of Arizona.

Thank you again Sir,
Please vacate your seat for Mr. J.D. Hayworth.
P.S. I will debate you on the issues anytime, and in fact have some questions for you if you're up to it. email me back.
-Rob
